Write to support@dobreon.com. A person reads it, usually within a couple of working days. Telling us your iPhone model and iOS version saves a round trip; please do not send screenshots containing anything you would not want in an inbox.
The estimate was wrong
Usually it is the weight rather than the food. Tap the gram figure on the item and set what it actually was — everything recalculates, and the entry is marked as yours. If it named the food wrongly too, delete that row and add it by hand; for anything packaged, the barcode is more reliable than a photograph will ever be.
Photographs that include the whole plate, taken from slightly above with a fork or your hand in frame, come out noticeably better than a close-up. There is nothing in the shot to judge size against otherwise, and the app will say so.
The barcode was not found
Product data comes from Open Food Facts, a free public database whose coverage is uneven by country and thinnest on supermarket own-brands. When a code is missing, the app opens the manual form with the barcode already filled in — the label in your hand is the fastest source. You can also add the product to Open Food Facts yourself, which helps the next person.
Subscriptions, cancelling and refunds
Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple, so we cannot see, change, cancel or refund one.
- Cancel: Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions.
- Refund: reportaproblem.apple.com.
- You paid but the app still asks: open the subscription screen and tap Restore, or Restore purchases in Settings. If that does not do it, check you are signed in with the same Apple Account that made the purchase.
Health is not syncing
Turn on Write to Health in the app's Settings first. If it was refused once, iOS will not ask again: open the Health app, go to Sharing, then Apps, find CheckCal and grant it there. Health deliberately does not tell an app whether permission was denied, so the app cannot warn you about this itself.
Something is wrong with my day's numbers
Meals are grouped by the time they were logged. If a late-night meal landed on the wrong day, delete it and add it again — and tell us, because that is a bug worth knowing about.
Deleting your data
Everything is on your phone, so deleting the app deletes all of it. We hold no copy and no account, which means there is nothing for us to erase on request. See the privacy policy.
Reporting something serious
Security issues, or an estimate that could put somebody at risk, go to the same address with urgent in the subject line.
